Wassman is involved in journalism, FFA, and pep club. In her free time she enjoys shooting trap, fishing, singing, and participating in FFA.
Wassman’s biggest accomplishment is when she rescued a hawk from a traffic accident. The hawk is now at the St. Louis bird sanctuary, and serves as a staple reason for why she wanted to be a conservation agent as a kid. Now, Wassman is considering pursuing a field in either criminal justice or neurology.
“My mom has a seizure disorder and it has something to do with her brain, but they dont know whats wrong. If I could somehow figure that out through the field of neurology and help someone else in a similar disposition, I figure I’d be doing something right,” Wassman said.
