Graduates take their final step as they say goodbye

For seventy-six students, the day has finally come when they will put on black robes and a mortar board and make their final walk across the stage to receive their diploma. This tradition is most likely the most cherished of all high school traditions.

Graduation will be held Friday May 22, 7 p.m. in the WHS gymnasium.

Each senior receives 15 tickets to invite friends and family to their ceremony.

Although the busy night can be hectic, seniors  reflect on the moment of joining together for the celebration.

“I’m looking forward to being with everyone one last time,” senior Ryan Todd said.

A sense of relief is also felt from the graduates.

“It feels good knowing that I’m not having to deal with high school anymore after this,” senior Jordan Johnson said.

In addition to the memorable night, the school will be providing a 5×7 photo for parents that captures the student receiving their diploma. This way parents can stay in their seats and enjoy watching their child walk across the stage.
