Amarillo Martinez is the daughter of Jennifer Taylor and Michael Taylor. Throughout high school she was involved in FFA and Archery. She plans to attend State Fair Community College to enter the Sonography program and eventually settle down and continue her career at Bothwell Regional Hospital. What she’s looking forward to the most next year is, “Getting to experience new opportunities in a grown up setting. As well as getting the chance to meet new people along the way.” If she could go back to freshman year, “The only thing I would change is, I would make more friends and build connections with the people around me.” A teacher she’d like to thank would be, “I would like to thank my Health Occupation teacher Mrs. Wienburg, she helped foster my love for the medical field and taught me so many things that I have used for my current job.” Her biggest achievement was getting her job at Bothwell Regional Health Center. Her best memory was going to the school dances with friends. If she goes to her ten year reunion she hopes to have accomplished, “I will have graduated with a degree in sonography, as well as settled down with a family and a great career.” What she’ll miss most is her friends and all the memories they made together. To celebrate the end of this era in her life, “I plan to spend time with my family and celebrate the closing of this chapter of life.” Her advice to a younger student is, “Remember to have fun, it is very important to keep good grades, but don’t let that stop you from being able to enjoy this exciting chapter of your life.”

About the Contributor
Abbey Wilson, News Photography Editor
Senior Abbey Wilson is on her third year with the Wildcat news production. This year as a photography editor, she will be checking everyone’s stories to make sure they have their photos and captions as well as making sure photo assignments are set. She decided to stay on staff again because with it being her senior year, she wanted to keep going with writing and photography because she’s passionate about it. In her free time Wilson enjoys running, spending time with her family, traveling, working, watching “Gilmore Girls” and listening to music. What she loves the most is working towards her goals for the future and being a big sister to her four siblings. After high school, Wilson hopes to go to State fair Community College or Missouri State University to major in social work and minor in journalism.
