Parker Gemes is the son of Lacole Territo and Dustin Gemes. Throughout high school he was involved in Golf, Madrigal, Band, NHS, Math Club, Shawnee Bend Golf Course. He plans to attend Missouri S&T to become an Aerospace Engineer at NASA. What he’s looking forward to the most next year is a fresh start. His best memory from high school was, “The Golf Team we had during my Sophomore year of High School.” If he could go back to his freshman year he would’ve focused on his grades more and getting his work done. A teacher he’d like to thank is Mrs. Spunagle. If he goes to his ten year reunion he hopes to have accomplished, “College, my 5 year anniversary at my job, and becoming a scratch golfer.” His biggest achievement in high school was, “Making an academic comeback, I went from a 3.4 GPA to a 4.0+ GPA.” To celebrate the end of this era in his life, “Going on a trip and playing the Cliff Hangers Golf Course.” His advice to a younger student is, “Focus on your classes, they can slip away pretty fast and it is hard to come back from a bad freshman year.”

About the Contributor
Abbey Wilson, News Photography Editor
Senior Abbey Wilson is on her third year with the Wildcat news production. This year as a photography editor, she will be checking everyone’s stories to make sure they have their photos and captions as well as making sure photo assignments are set. She decided to stay on staff again because with it being her senior year, she wanted to keep going with writing and photography because she’s passionate about it. In her free time Wilson enjoys running, spending time with her family, traveling, working, watching “Gilmore Girls” and listening to music. What she loves the most is working towards her goals for the future and being a big sister to her four siblings. After high school, Wilson hopes to go to State fair Community College or Missouri State University to major in social work and minor in journalism.
