Colten Kern is the son of Kayce and Nick Kern. Throughout high school he was involved in Baseball, Madrigal, Band, Church and working at the Warsaw pool, and Bomgaars. Kern’s future plans are, “To go to State Fair to study Engineering design technology and then see about getting a bachelors or working from there. Then I plan to have my own home and have my children attend Warsaw schools just as I did.” What he’s looking forward to the most next year is, “Learning about the career I want to pursue and being able to have lots more freedom.” A teacher he’d like to thank would be, “Mrs. Spaunagle was the best teacher I have ever had. She is capable of making math for someone that isn’t the best at it feel easy. She knows every tip and trick and is determined to help students reach their full potential.” His biggest achievement in high school was making it through it. His best memory from high school was, “Getting stuck on the fence (Hanging from my hoodie) at the Smith-Cotton Jamboree.” To celebrate the end of this era in his life he plans to, “Celebrate on the links with a quick nine with the boys.” If he could go back to freshman year he stated, “I wouldn’t change a single thing! I love the friends and memories I have made.” His advice to a younger student is, “The biggest piece of advice I would give to a student is that nothing is better than your work ethic, you don’t need to be the smartest to achieve your goals, you more importantly need a strong work ethic.”

About the Contributor
Abbey Wilson, News Photography Editor
Senior Abbey Wilson is on her third year with the Wildcat news production. This year as a photography editor, she will be checking everyone’s stories to make sure they have their photos and captions as well as making sure photo assignments are set. She decided to stay on staff again because with it being her senior year, she wanted to keep going with writing and photography because she’s passionate about it. In her free time Wilson enjoys running, spending time with her family, traveling, working, watching “Gilmore Girls” and listening to music. What she loves the most is working towards her goals for the future and being a big sister to her four siblings. After high school, Wilson hopes to go to State fair Community College or Missouri State University to major in social work and minor in journalism.
