Alyssa Hanscom is the daughter of Kim and Jason Hanscom. Throughout high school she was involved in Band, NHS, FBLA, and Math Club. She plans to go to Missouri State University for Digital Film/TV Production, while living in Springfield, Missouri. What she’s looking forward to the most next year is living in a bigger town and going to the same school as her friend, Micheal who she is looking forward to making more memories with. Two teachers she would like to thank would be Mr. Dunnaway and Mrs. Glenn. She would like to thank Dunnaway because,”He has just always been my favorite teacher and I think he’s underrated in the funny teachers department,” and she would like to thank Glenn because, “She was my first teacher when I moved to Missouri in 5th grade and again junior year. She is just one of those teachers that had good energy and always made my day better.” Her biggest achievement in high school was making FBLA state after competing in graphic design. One thing she’s going to miss about high school would be the unnecessary commentary in class made by her peers. To celebrate the end of this era in her life she plans to spend time with family she doesn’t get to see often and her friends before they go their separate ways for college. If she could go back to her freshman year,” The only thing I think I would change is getting involved a little more. I joined FBLA and Math Club this year and it was a lot more fun than I expected.” A piece of advice she would give to a younger student would be, “Do your assignments you’ll probably be fine and try not to procrastinate too much.”
