Brayden Henderson is the son of Thad and Kristy Henderson. Throughout high school he was involved in Cross Country, Basketball, Track and Field, FFA President, FBLA, FCA, Student Body President, Math Club President, National Honor Society, Prom Committee, and Pep Club. Outside of school, he is involved in Warsaw Assembly of God Youth Group and worked at Henderson Ranch. His future plans are to, “serve my year as a state officer and get my degree from Mizzou and in mechanical engineering. After college, I hope to get a job in the engineering field and stay in Missouri to start a family of my own.” What he’s looking forward to the most next year is, “getting to meet new people and getting to see what else the world has to offer.” Teachers he’d like to thank would be, Mrs. Spunaugle and Mrs. Smith. “Mrs Spunaugle taught me that math can be fun even though it’s difficult. She also inspired me to want to do engineering in college. Mrs. Smith always gave me the words of confidence I needed. Throughout my FFA journey she was always there to encourage me.” If he goes to his ten year reunion he hopes to have accomplished completing his degree, having a stable job, and having started his own family. His biggest achievement in high school was, “becoming a Missouri FFA State Officer, its a very tough interview process and its one of the highest honors in all of FFA to become a state officer.” What he’ll miss the most from high school is the people that he got to see everyday while in school. To celebrate the end of this era in his life Henderson will be hopefully taking a trip to Florida. If he could change something from freshman year he stated he would’ve, “put more focus into the things that I cared about more. Rather than spreading my focus out so much.” Advice he’d give to a younger student is, “take advantage of the opportunities in front of you, many people look back on their high school years and wish they did more, don’t be one of them.”
