Ayden Burdick is the son of Jessica and Andrew Burdick. Throughout high school he was involved in football, basketball, baseball, student council, math club, national honor society, FBLA, madrigal and working at Warsaw Municipal Pool and Truman State Park Marina. He plans to attend University of Missouri- Columbia to pursue a degree in Biological Sciences on the Pre-med path. What he is looking forward to the most next year is meeting new people and making new friends in a completely new environment. If he goes to his ten year reunion he hopes to have accomplished graduating from both undergrad and medical school, and being in the midst of his orthopedic residency.Teachers he’d like to thank would be, “I don’t think I could thank just one as I had two who made such an immense impact on me as a person, Mrs. Schockmann and Mrs. Spunaugle both of which were confident and passionate in their work, something that I do my best to emulate whether that be math, music, or any other aspect of life.” His biggest achievement in high school was overcoming a major injury and being able to play the sports he loves with his friends again. His best memory from high school was the time he spent on the field with his teammates. What he’ll miss the most about his class is, “Getting to spend time and be around the people I’ve grown up with since we were in daycare.” To celebrate the end of this era in his life he will be taking a trip to Mexico with friends and family. If he could go back to freshman year he’d change taking more college courses to give him a better foundation for college. His advice to a younger student is, “Highschool is what you want it to be, my advice, take each opportunity you can to be involved and take the time to not waste a moment, because before you know it, your four years will come to an end.”

Abbey Wilson, News Photography Editor
Senior Abbey Wilson is on her third year with the Wildcat news production. This year as a photography editor, she will be checking everyone’s stories to make sure they have their photos and captions as well as making sure photo assignments are set. She decided to stay on staff again because with it being her senior year, she wanted to keep going with writing and photography because she’s passionate about it. In her free time Wilson enjoys running, spending time with her family, traveling, working, watching “Gilmore Girls” and listening to music. What she loves the most is working towards her goals for the future and being a big sister to her four siblings. After high school, Wilson hopes to go to State fair Community College or Missouri State University to major in social work and minor in journalism.
