Warsaw FFA Member Thane Henderson, was elected to become the 2015-2016 Area VIII FFA Treasurer. On March 4th, 2015 Henderson along with Blake Brodersen who served as a chapter delegate, traveled to Stover, Missouri for the Area 8 FFA officer interviews. As part of the election process Henderson had to submit a written application, be interviewed by delegates from Area VIII chapters, as well as take an FFA knowledge test. Henderson was elected to be the Area 8 FFA Treasurer, and thus becoming the fourth area officer in a row from Warsaw FFA. The Warsaw FFA has had an area officer every year of it’s existence. Area 8 is composed of 22 schools and only nine officers are elected each year. The Area officers attend a training institute in the summer and are responsible for conducting the business of the Area FFA Association as well as hosting leadership conferences for Chapter FFA Officers and Greenhand FFA Members. Area FFA Officers also work at the Central District FFA Fair and Missouri State Fair.
