As the school year comes to an end, seniors look at many different ways to celebrate graduation. For example, many have booked different trips out of state and out of country to enjoy time with their family and friends. Many look at the trips as a fun way to celebrate before they take on to their next adventure.
After graduation, a group of close senior boys plan to take off to Cancun, Mexico.
“We decided to go on a fun trip because for some of us it was a big accomplishment to graduate,” senior Shane Poyser said.
The group of boys plan to fly out soon after graduation takes place.
“I’m mostly excited to just spend time around the boys and make a lot of memories,” senior Kendall Bagley said.
Some of the things that they plan to experience in Mexico are scuba diving, golf, and soaking in the sun and memories. The group consists of Garrett Ferguson, Jayce Depriest, Kendall Bagley, Shane Poyser, Drake Murrell, Trent Downing, Sonny Garrett, and Carter Howell.
Another soon-to-be graduate, Samantha Harr, also plans to take off on a trip to Cancun, Mexico. This summer will now be the second time that Harr has visited Cancun. Harr had a blast her first time, and hopes the second time is just as fun. She mostly plans on hanging out with her family, enjoying the warm water, getting her tan on, and shopping.
“I hope to get super tan like last time and end up looking like Beyonce when I leave,” Harr said.
Along with these two senior trips, fellow classmates Keira Mostaffa and Tatum Bohl plan on setting sail on a cruise together. Unlike Mostaffa, Bohl has been on several different cruises. Both girls are looking forward to laying out and getting a good tan, while also shopping at some local places whenever they dock.
“I’m mostly excited to experience my first cruise, and taking in the atmosphere around me, while also making memories with Tatum,” Mostaffa said.
“I’m excited to go on a cruise with Keira for our senior trip, because it will make it so much more enjoyable and memorable,” Bohl said.
Senior Haylee Cobb plans on going on two senior trips. Cobb will head off to Florida and on a cruise with her family. Haylee plans to soak up and enjoy as much family time as she can, before college starts.
“I hope to enjoy the nice weather there and mostly look forward to getting tan,” Cobb said. Overall, she is most excited to be around the people she loves the most and make memories.
Senior Brylee Brewster plans on traveling to Colorado for a yearly softball tournament, but to also fit in a celebration of her graduating.
“This trip is going to be very special to me because it will be my last time playing in this softball tournament that I have played in for several years now,” Brewster said.
Brewster mentioned how she hopes to see different beautiful sceneries and compete very well in the softball tournament.
“I’m mostly looking forward to playing against some of the best softball competition in the country, and enjoying time with my team and family,” Brewster said.
Senior trips are traditional for most, but not all. Seniors this year are celebrating their honors of making it to the end and having fun before they start a new beginning.
