Charles Young is the son of Stephanie Young, Toby Young, and Terri Young. Young was involved in football, FFA, and he welds pipe fence as a summer job. He plans to attend a welding school, specifically Missouri Welding Institute, and go work on the road for a while. A teacher he would like to thank is Mrs. Smith. “Mrs. Smith (AG) has taught me a lot of life lessons and is even the reason I am pursuing welding. She first taught me to weld in 8th grade and since then I’ve been working and learning the trade.” His biggest achievements are the friendships that he has gained from high school. “I feel like my biggest achievement would have to be some of the relationships I’ve gained in school. I’ve created some of my best friends and I hope to continue the friendships after graduation!” If he could go back to freshman year he would change his effort towards his grades. A piece of advice he would give to younger classes is, “Get into other things besides just normal classes; go take shop class and stuff like that. Learn something good that you can use for your whole life, such as welding or even wood work.”
