Maya Jolliff is the daughter of Cheryl Miller. She was involved in NHS, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, and math club. After high school she plans to stay in Missouri to discover a career path that’s best for her. A teacher she would like to thank is Mrs. Spunaugle. “Since before I even had her as a teacher, Spunaugle has always been kind and respectful to me. And in the classroom, she is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is always willing to help no matter the problem, and is always happy to do it. She is a huge part of the school’s pep, she is always ready to step in and yell or cheer loudly for any student, when not all teachers or people in general would. She is always ready to help anybody in any way she can.” Maya’s biggest achievement was her academic performance. “My mother has raised me to always try my best no matter what is and that is something that has stuck with me.” After high school, Maya hopes to do more things with the availability of more free time and experience new things life has to offer before her next step in life. Some of her best memories at Warsaw are being with her friends throughout high school. “Being able to come to school everyday and get to see your friends and all the people you’ve known for years is something I am really grateful for. I love when we had “free days” whether it was an assembly or an event of some sort, I love the days where everyone is just free to go around and have fun.” A few things Maya would like to tell younger students is too take a break and to balance your education and personal life, she would also recommend people to join as many groups as they can. “I would participate in more clubs and activities. It seems like such a small thing, but when it’s all said and done, it is something I wish I would have done. It is just a fun little thing that gives you more experiences, and allows you to gain new interests and meet new people.”
