As the sun comes out so do many students’ spring outfits.
“My wardrobe changes from jeans and sweaters to shorts or skirts and cute short sleeved tops,” freshman Amelia Roberts said.
Most have a staple item that they feel is a must for this warm weather.
“I would have to say biker shorts are definitely a must for spring,” sophomore Maylee Slavens said.
“My favorite would be jean shorts, they match with everything and look cute,” senior Tatum Bohl said.
Of course once the weather changes you have to say goodbye to your winter wardrobe and may miss some clothing items.
“When the weather makes the transition from winter to spring my hoodies and crewnecks turn to tee shirts and tank tops. I would have to say I miss my hoodies and crewnecks the most.
Nothing can top that warm cozy feeling a hoodie brings me,” junior Hailey Ferguson said.
“I will miss wearing a vest. It is trendy and cute,” Bohl said
“I love dressing comfy, oversized hoodies and sweatpants is definitely what I miss the most,” Slavens said.
Some students not only change their wardrobe but also update their appearance.
“I wear slides sometimes so I get a pedicure,” Bohl said.
“I like to get highlights in my hair, and wear it more curly for the warmer months,” Roberts said.
When the weather changes it gives students the opportunity to update their wardrobe and stay on top of the fashion trends.
“I would say yes my wardrobe is trendy, just the basic shorts and crop tops. I shop at a lot of local stores and boutiques,” Bohl said.
“I think that my spring / summer wardrobe is pretty trendy. I love wearing tube tops and summer tank tops from ediked. I like to shop at Altard State, hollister, and brandy Melville,” Roberts said
Many students look forward to getting to transition their outfits as it starts to warm up.
“As spring comes upon us I am very excited to wear shorts and tee shirts. There was time through the winter I would wear shorts to school and freeze my butt off! In spring though I can wear shorts and not be regretting it all day,” Slavens said.
Outfits aren’t the only thing students look forward to as the sun comes out.
“Spring always puts me in the summer mood. It gets me so excited for all the boating trips, pool days, and all the hours spent tanning,” Ferguson said.
“My favorite part of the sun being out is definitely getting to lay out and tan! During winter I self tan regularly so not having to do that anymore is one thing I love,” sophomore Mady Reimund said.
Many students prefer spring over winter and wait for the transition in nature.
“Seeing the flowers bloom and the trees changing colors is such a beautiful thing to see,” Ferguson said.
Some students love spring for personal reasons as well.
“My favorite season is definitely spring because it is when my birthday is!” junior Aubree Smith said.
