Jaxson Deckard is the son of Jared and Shannon Deckard. He was involved in cross country, track, student council, NHS, FBLA, math club, prom committee, Madrigal, and Assembly of God. He plans to attend The United States Air Force Academy and serve as pilot in the Air Force after attending the academy. A teacher he would like to thanks is Mrs. Spunaugle because she has not only been a teacher to him, but also a mentor. She brought him out of his comfort zone and helped him change from the quiet, shy kid he once was, to the confident person he is today. His biggest achievement is being accepted into the Air Force Academy. His favorite memory was camping with friends. He is going miss seeing his friends on a daily basis. His advice to a younger student is, “Take your school work seriously but still take time to enjoy your high school years. When given an assignment, put forth your best effort on it early on and finish it so you have free time to enjoy, rather than spending time having fun and then stressing to finish the assignment the night it is due.” If he could go back to freshman year he would have challenged himself more.
