Over the summer, many students stayed busy by working at various jobs to make money and gain work experience before graduation.
Junior Josh Harvath worked all summer long at State Park Marina
“I enjoy working at the marina, it’s not too difficult and I’m surrounded by good workers,” Harvath said.
Harvath said he was able to make about $5,000 over the summer to spend on
In addition to just putting money in the bank, student workers say they wanted to gain work experience.
“I wanted to gain experience working on my farm, because it’s where I’m going to be working for the foreseeable future,” said senior Trent Downing
Junior Anna Zimmerman took on two jobs this summer. She worked at both Sonic Drive-In and LOZ Outfitters this summer. She was working approximately 70 hours a week.
“My summer was very busy, aside from the weekends,” she said.
Students seemed to also enjoy their jobs.
“Sonic was fun because my friends worked there and the boutique was fun because I was by myself and it was really easy,” she said.
