Athlete Spotlight: Senior Olivia Strange

Senior Olivia Strange

Senior Olivia Strange plays second base for the Lady Cats; she has played all four years of high school and eight years total throughout her life. When asked what her favorite memory of softball she said, “My favorite memories of this sport comes from when I get to play with one of my best friends on the field.” Strange found her way to softball during a soccer game after she saw other girls playing softball on the field and she asked her dad to take her to tryouts. According to Strange, her greatest accomplishment while playing softball has been being able to play varsity as a freshman. Strange’s hopes for this season is to watch the team grow, not only in the sport, but as teammates as well.

Carter Howell is a junior at Warsaw High School. This is his second year in journalism; he is the Sports Editor for the newspaper. Howell is involved on the golf team. Howell is interested in writing about school sports and other activities. His future plans are to go to college after high school.
Grace Drake
Grace Drake, Staff Writer
Grace Drake is a senior on the journalism staff. This is her first year writing for The Wildcat. Drake is involved in basketball, softball, Madrigal, FFA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, and pep club.  Her hobbies include playing the guitar, singing, riding her horses, and helping teach her youth group. After high school, Grace plans to attend SBU, where she will major in Business Management and minor in Youth Ministry. She hopes to play collegiate girls basketball. Her biggest dream is to travel the country as a music artist and share her talents with the world. Drake plans to broaden the newspaper to cover a larger variety of students in the high school.
