Girls win district title, softball season ends in quarterfinals
The Wildcat softball team ended their season 14-4 after a loss to the Skyline Tigers in the state quarterfinals. The team won the district title in their return to spring ball after playing in the fall season since 1997. They beat both Adrian and Tipton on May 6. The season also marked the last for head coach Steve Larson after 20 years.
“I have been blessed to have some of the best players in the state of Missouri. I have had many players who may not have been the best in the state, but were just wonderful young ladies who gave their all. I have also had some players who had that uncanny ability to make you laugh everyday,” Larson said.
