Baseball team becomes district champions, moves on to play for state title

On May 25, the baseball team fought for a district title against the number one ranked team, Holden.
The boys defeated Holden 10-3 to claim a Class 3 district championship title. They went on to play Summit Christian on May 27. They defeated them 5-2 to advance to the state final four.
The first game for the team in the final four will be played in O’Fallon, Missouri, on June 1 at 4:30 p.m. They will compete against Scott City.
Shortstop Jeremy Eierman was also named Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year. Eierman is hitting with a batting average of .542 with eight home runs, 33 RBIs and 39 runs scored throughout the season. This has helped lead the team to a 22-2 record.
