Seniors Tatum Bohl and Garrett Ferguson are nominees for 2024 Homecoming queen and king. Bohl is on the honor roll and involved in the A+ program, FBLA, Co-President of FCCLA, class representative on student council, media and business editor on Ozark Echoes Yearbook staff, varsity cheerleading captain and three-time All American Cheerleader, Emerald Stars dance team captain as well as three-time All American Dancer, Pep Club, signed model with EFMM, competitive dancer at All Star Dance Academy, reigning 2024 America’s Ideal Miss Missouri Teen, and founder of the platform Crowns Fighting Cancer. Bohl said being nominated as a candidate is a great honor. “It is validation and a sign that I have made a positive impression on my peers and that is important to me.’’ When she was asked what she was most grateful for she replied with,”Im grateful for the group of people I have in my life. My parents, friends, mentors and teachers, that led me to where I am today.” Ferguson is involved in football, baseball, basketball, student council, pep club, FBLA, NHS, and A+ program. Ferguson was excited to be nominated. “Feels good being picked top three out of my senior classmates.” Ferguson was asked what he was grateful for and he said,’” I am grateful for who I am surrounded by, my family and friends. Also, being able to participate in the sports I love.”

Alyssa Boyd, Staff Writer
Freshman Alyssa Boyd is a new staff member on the 2024-2025 Newspaper staff. She is involved in cheer, track, student council, Pep Club, and 4-H. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with family, friends, and cheering. Outside of school, she enjoys babysitting and baking. After high school, she hopes to attend MU and become a nurse practitioner. After college she plans to be a travel nurse while getting her doctorate degree then plans to work at Children's Mercy in Columbia to help the young in need. Her parents are Crystal and Daryl Boyd. She also has four younger brothers and one older and one younger sister as well as an older sister. Boyd is very excited to start her first year on the WHS News staff!
Keira Mostaffa, Editor-in-Chief
Senior Keira Mostaffa is in her fourth year of the Wildcat news production and second year of the Wildcat yearbook. In Mostaffa’s first year on staff, she served as a staff writer then was promoted to Wildcat Online and Social Media editor then worked her way up to Editor-in-Chief and is now working as Editor-in-Chief for the second year. Mostaffa prefers newspaper over yearbook because her favorite part of journalism is the writing aspect. She looks forward to letting student voices be heard through articles and photography. Mostaffa is involved in basketball, NHS, FBLA, pep club, student council, and mountain biking. Her favorite sport is mountain biking where she competes against girls from around the state. Outside of school she can be found at practice or spending time with her friends and family.
