McRoberts signs with Drury University softball

WHS senior Kylie McRoberts signed to play softball for the NCAA Division 2 Drury Panthers on Thursday, March 10. Picutred are McRoberts, along with her parents Eric and Teresa Flores, McRoberts’ competitive team coach Steve Sutter, and WHS coaches Dennis Larsen, Kensie Daleske and Steve Larsen.

  Senior Kylie McRoberts  signed her letter of commitment on Thursday, March 10, to play softball at NCAA Division 2 Drury University in Springfield.

 While going to to Drury, Kylie will pursue her degree in Secondary Education and Mathematics.

  McRoberts has played softball since she was 5 years old, beginning with tee ball in Parks and Rec and continuing into competitive softball. She played tee ball, coach pitch, and softball during her elementary summers, and played competitive fastpitch softball at the 12U, 14U, and 18U levels during middle school and high school. Kylie began playing competitive fastpitch with Diamond Skills out of Grain Valley and went on to play Torque Fastpitch at the 14U and 18U divisions.

 McRoberts has received numerous awards for her softball achievements. She has received 1st team academic all state,  2nd team all region, 1st team all district, and 2nd team all conference her junior and senior years, Offensive player of the year her sophomore thru senior years, and lettered as a varsity starter all four years on the softball team. She was named female athlete of the year her junior year.  Kylie has also received MVP of competitive tournament games during her career.
